The Ballinamore International Film Festival was a three day event that ran from the 26th to the 28th of August. The festival screened over 50 films which came from around the globe. The first film festival in Ballinamore and we hope that it won't be the last.

The festival was self funded by Teresa Wood and Ger Boland who co-managed the project. Special thanks must go out to Kathy O' Leary, Glenda Cimino, Bobby Joe's pub in Ballinamore, Monkey, Film Ireland, Gordon Hudson, Lough Allen Adventure Center and all those who helped out with many different aspects of the festival.

We also must thank the free fringe festival who helped make the weekend a brilliant success.

Lets hope 2012 will be another success.

Code of Conduct for the Ballinamore International Film Festival.

No 1: Film Festival organisers will operate a transparent and ethical selection process and publish details of the selection process and the names of the Jury/selection committee (publication can be after a festival concludes)

No 2: Film festivals organisers will provide full contact details for the festival offices including address and telephone numbers and the names of the festival directors and or committee

No 3: Film Festivals will publish a company registration number or charity registration number and must be clearly visible on the festivals website (this only applies to a registered entity)

No 4: Film festival organisers will not under any circumstances share any personal or financial data belonging to any filmmakers who submitted their films to their festivals with any third parties

No 5: Film Festivals will publish a year by year history of festival winners and films officially selected

No 6: Film festival organisers, committee and or jury will not show or demonstrate any favouritism to any film submitted to the festival or attempt to influence other members of the jury or selection committee

No 7: Film Festivals must declare the number of films sought out and or invited by the festival organisers to participate in the festival prior to and before the general call for submissions is sent out

No 8: Film Festivals will provide the names of the selection committee and or jury members who viewed the submitted film screeners to the festival (this can be after the festival has concluded)

No 9: Film festival organisers will screen or view at least 5 minutes of submitted films

No 10: Festival organisers must declare any interest they have in any film submitted to or invited to participate in the festival. please contact us with suggestions about the COC

FILM WORKSHOPS.

We at the Ballinamore International Film Festival wish to not only show films but show how films get made. From camera lenses, lighting, editing, broken bones, flying supermen and much more. We want to inspire people to go out and make movies or at least appreciate the wonderful skill of a film crew. From director to stunt men. If you would like to hold a workshop please get in touch. To reserve your seat for a particular section of the film festival please email your name, amount of tickets, details of film section.

To avail of this please show up to the film section 10 minutes before start time. If you are not there 10minutes before the start time your seats may be allocated elsewhere.

Tickets are free and entry is on first come first serve basis with the exception of reserved seats.
